SOLD Royal Worcester porcelain bough pot, John Stinton, dated 1918. Finely hand painted with a scene of Highland Cattle, at a river, in an atmospheric Highland setting. The reverse with a continuation of the river landscape. The pot having elaborately moulded and gilded handles, issuing from moulded strap work, beneath a pierced gallery,adorned with swags, tied with bows. The domed cover, moulded with acanthus leaf, beneath a laurel wreath, surmounted with an elaborate foliate finial. Signed – J. Stinton. Puce printed factory mark, and date code for 1918. Model number 1428. Height – 34 cm, 13 3/8”. Diameter – 26.6 cm, 10 1/2”. Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
