Pair of Japanese cloisonné vases, by Hayashi Kihyoe, c. 1900, Meiji Period. The exceptionally fine vases, decorated with scenes of numerous cranes, in a river scene. The cranes in silver wire, with the river, and grasses created using the musen shippo wireless enamel technique. All upon a pale green ground. The elegant vases, rising to an everted neck , and mounted with silver rims. Signed Hayashi Kiyhoe in heart shaped silver reserves to the bases of both vases. Medium: Cloisonne Height: 25 cm, 9 7/8”.Width: 14 cm, 5 1/2”.Depth: 14 cm, 5 1/2”.Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
