Description Aquaking 100 micron water filter The Aquaking water filter is an excellent choice for pre-filtering irrigation water. It mechanically filters the water intended for irrigation extremely reliably, thereby protecting the other parts of the irrigation system. Mechanical water filters mostly remove larger suspended matter from water, including sand, silt, clay, loose scale and organic matter. Mechanical filtration: In mechanical filtration, untreated water passes through a mesh filter or cartridge that captures suspended particles in the water on the surface or inside the filter. These filter systems do not remove dissolved chemicals or very small particles. When combined with other water treatment equipment (as is often the case), they can help remove dissolved or very fine particles. For example, they can remove iron, manganese or hydrogen sulphide after being converted from a dissolved state to a granular state by a separate oxidation treatment water system installed upstream of the mechanical filter unit. The product is available in two different sizes in our range with 3/4 and 1 inch thread. The finer the filter, the more particles are trapped and the more often the filter needs to be changed. If the pore size of the filter material is too small, or if the concentration of suspended solids in the untreated water is too high, the filter will clog easily and require frequent replacement. On the other hand, if the pore size is too large, suspended solids can pass through the device.
