Description The Nutriculture Ebb & Flood hydro system offers a much higher average yield than conventional potted plants. The timer activates the pump to “flood” the grow medium, thereby providing the plants with nutrients. Gravity pulls the excess nutrient solution back into the tank, resulting in a highly oxygenated root zone and huge yields. FLOOD – The timer controls how often the medium is flooded from the nutrient tank. During the floods, the plants absorb the necessary water and nutrients, and the air in the root zone is emptied. EBB – When the nutrient solution reaches the required level, the solution flows out (EBB) back into the reservoir and fresh oxygen goes directly to the rootzone. The “small and often” irrigation schedule, combined with a highly oxygenated root zone, means healthier plants and higher yields.
