Advantages of Bio Nova Coco Brick: Excellent water retention properties - requires less watering ( up to 65% ) than peat substrate. It retains water , rather than releasing it like traditional peat substrate. The ability to quickly rewet and the fast drainage characteristics of coconut substrate also reduce the loss of nutrients through leaching. The pH content of coconut is naturally and slightly acidic and is therefore resistant to the appearance of bacteria , weeds , fungi and is truly pathogen-free . The naturally high lignin content encourages the development of beneficial microorganisms . Can be used both indoors and outdoors. Coconut substrate is completely organic - obtained from coconut palm trees in Sri Lanka. There is no harmful impact on the environment when disposed of. Method of use: Fill a bucket with 4-5 liters of warm water . Place a coconut block and let it swell for ± 30 minutes . Mix thoroughly to obtain up to 10 liters of ready-to-use substrate .
